This study aims to establish a comprehensive evaluation index system for the dissemination power of scientific data platforms, optimize the platform's dissemination strategies, enhance its influence and service efficiency, in order to provide theoretical and practical support for the sustainable development of the platform. The 5W communication model theory is combined with the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) to establish five primary evaluation indexes for Dissemination subjects, content, channels, audiences, and effects, as well as 19 secondary indexes. The weight values of each indicator are quantified. The results found that operational professionalism, quality of descriptive metadata, diversity of dissemination channels, timeliness and effectiveness of user feedback, and user behavior effects are key factors in the dissemination power of scientific data platforms. Suggestions are proposed from the aspects of platform operation, metadata, and interaction channels.
