    All the articles published in 11 CSSCI library magazines in 2013 that used questionnaire method are analyzed and it is found that although questionnaire method in the field of library science had well developed, problems still exists, such as unitary research angle, the narrow scope of research objects, low degree of question standard, superficial data analysis.

    Questionnaire application articles in library science, which published in 11 CSSCI library magazines in 2013, were analyzed with focus on the differences in research topics and objects. The results showed that there were no significant differences in almost all indexes of compiling questionnaire and statistic analysis of different research objects, but there were significant differences in almost all indexes of different research topics.

    his article analyzed questionnaire application article in library science, which published in 11 CSSCI library magazines in 2013, with focus on the research of the differences in compiling questionnaire and statistic analysis of questionnaire and scale used in the articles, in order to provide reference to apply questionnaire scientifically in library science research process. The results showed that there were significant differences in compiling questionnaire and statistic analysis between questionnaire and scale.

    Since the beginning of this century, library rights thought has been widely spread in China library circles. In the process, the scholars acted as the main subject, professional journals as the carrier, the library associations as the joint actuator hub and all kinds of meetings as publicizing channel. The localization of foreign rights theory has changed the concept and practice of Chinese library reader service and the reader service system of our country has been changed too. The international "human rights" and "intellectual freedom" theory are different because of the multicultural factors. There are many contradictions and conflicts between the library rights transplantation and localization because of the different regimes, social culture, customs and ethics between Chinese and other countries. Making clear the effect of these factors has a special meaning on Chinese library rights system content and system construction at the present stage.

    In the 21st century, e-inclusion has become an important issue to promote the development of the information society. This article has elaborated the processing of the European digital inclusive strategy and closely related public library development in last 20 years. The key of e-inclusion is to improve the participation of all individuals and communities in all aspects of the information society. Thus, e-Inclusion policy aims at reducing gaps in ICT usage and promoting the use of ICT to overcome exclusion, and improving economic performance, employment opportunities, quality of life, social participation and cohesion.
  • Research on the College Library Reading Circle Practice from the Perspective Of Reading Popularizing

    The Reading Circle has a positive and profound influence on college reading popularizing. The information and data are combined to analyze the overall practice situation of reading circle in Hong Kong, Taiwan and the mainland's colleges, and then five typical cases are selected to show the different types of reading circles' specific practices and inspirations. It is found that the college libraries do not play necessary role in practicing reading circle, and specific measures are put forwarded for college libraries to play the leading role in the development and popularization of reading circle.

    The bottleneck factors in present evaluation of Chinese book in humanities and social sciences are such as large workload,time consuming content evaluation,non -quantitative and non -formulaic characteristics of academic books and non -consensus of evaluation results. Suggestions and countermeasures advanced in this paper are: to select a batch of patient and responsible peer experts,to build and make good use of a peer review expert database,to establish standard citation index database of Chinese academic books,to establish the academic book evaluation index system and evaluation method dominated by peer view expert evaluation and supplemented by quantitative evaluation and to establish the evaluation system that tolerates non-consensus.
  • Data Citation Behavior in the Journal Papers of Sociology in China

    A sample of articles from"Sociological Studies" and"Chinese Journal of Population Science" during 2003-2012 was selected through systematic sampling method. The data citations in these articles were counted and analyzed. The authors studied the data citation behavior in the journal papers of Sociology in China, and compared the data citation behavior between different journals. The distribution of data citation was analyzed and the top data citing papers are presented with their characteristics. The result showed the data citations in Sociology are frequent, but in which many non- standard situations occurred. All kinds of yearbooks and tabulations on the population census are the major source of data for Sociological studies followed with many non-standard citations. On the other side, data citations from published journal papers are usually more normative.

    Institutional repository is one of the branches resulted from the open access movement. Based on Web of Science Core Collection,this paper analyzed the distribution of years,source journals,institution cooperation,keywords, and citation sequences of research literature with the topic of institutional repository. This paper used bibliometric method by taking statistical analysis of bibliographic information tool SATI 3.2,social network analysis tool Ucinet 6 ,statistic analysis tool SPSS 19.0 and citation analysis tool Histcite as tools,so as to present the research status of institutional repository aboard and to provide reference to the study in China.

    Public libraries and publishing industry have a hitherto unknown development opportunity in the construction of a socialist cultural power. The emergence of digital resources and the change of reading mode bring difficulties and challenges. Common value and mission make the two industries have the necessity and feasibility of cooperation. The author, taking Shanghai library as an example, describes the cooperation models from giving full play to the resources, fulfilling the reading promotion mission, to making the best use of the public space, so as to cause thinking and promote the development of the library cause.

    Haiyuange Library by the Yang Family of Liaocheng was first built in 1840, and has been famous in China for its treasured collections, and therefore it was considered one of the four great libraries of the Qing Dynasty in China. This paper demonstrates the origin of the Haiyuange Library by the Yang Family of Liaocheng, its owner, the ways and features of collection, and the methods of storing the books, the disasters it suffered and its survival.
