    Durin g the process of constructing contemporary spiritual civilization of socialism, a common consensus on studying traditional classics is reaching out by more and more Chinese. Either reciting & reading aloud classics or old-style private school is important reading classics models in non-governmental circles. As an essential social organization serving for culture and education, public library should be involved in that process, furthermore, taking up actively its historical mission.

    As the year 2009 to 2010 been defined as the 'National Year of Children Reading', children reading promotion has become one of the most important public activities of the public library of China. This paper tries to analyze the current situation of the children reading in China, summarize the different types of children reading promotion activities hold by China public library recent years, enumerate the typical cases, study their features, and discuss the significance of reading promotion.

In the course of digital library construction, we should make a rational orientation, an overall planning, and a reasonable arrangement, as well as strengthen supervision, focus on information disclosure, balance the relationship between government participation and market operation, ensure the public interest of the construction of digital library, and create a favorable external environment in taxation, laws, regulation, copyright and other aspects for digital library construction.

    At the beginning, this paper analyzes the problems and the bottleneck of the practices of knowledge management. Then, a new research direction which bases on the concept of service been put forward, and the values and significance of "knowledge service" been discussed.     This article lists several direct causes that are restricting the long-term development of grass roots libraries and mainly analyses the situation of grass -roots libraries' situation of lacking attention based on the statistical analysis of 6,764 news reports collected from Baidu News about grass roots libraries in China. Several suggestions are given on how to attract the attention of both users and funders.

    The subject of assessment is one of the most important components of the system of library assessment. At present, in China, the subject of public library assessment has some problems including being short of guarantee, independence and multiversity and so on. According to the different objectives, the subjects of library assessment were divided into four types such as the government institution, the library self -evaluation, user -centered evaluation and the third -party organization in specific area. Based on the practical experience about the subject of public library assessment in overseas and the reality of public library in China, this paper constructed the diversified system of public library assessment subject that is appropriate for Chinese reality.

    The his torical contribution of the Five Laws of Library Science by Ranganathan to the development of libraries was summarized. The connotation of the Five Laws which was implicated in the IC construction was analyzed in details from the aspects of the idea， structural function， service content and operation and management mode of IC. Conclusion was drawn from this basis that the Five Laws by Ranganathan is indispensable for the construction and development of IC.

    As a tool to enhance knowledge work productivity， the indispensable role of modern information technology has become the consensus of scholars and entrepreneurs. However， the diversity of information technology systems, different information technology for knowledge work ,and its role in the productivity cause significant differences. Software systems and networks for the role of knowledge-work productivity differences are analyzed. The empirical research indicates that software systems and procedures act on knowledge work mainly in procedures and standards， thus improving the efficiency and the quality； the network mainly promotes knowledge sharing， enhances teamwork， accelerates the knowledge innovation， and improves customer relationships to increase productivity of knowledge work. The author tries to seek the different "focal point" of software systems and networks on the productivity of knowledge work so as to ensure the efficiency of information technology.

    By the method of bibliometrics, the paper analyzed deeply the papers supported by foundation program in three journals including China Sport Science, China Sport Science Technology and Sports and Science (2005-2009). Through studying funding paper numbers, funding source, funding type, regional and organization distribution, and author collaboration, the paper revealed research characteristics and developing trend of sport science. The aim is to provide reference for prosperity of sport science and sustainable development of sport.

    This paper reviews the usage of experiment method in Library and Information Science（LIS）. An exploration which focuses on the advantage and disadvantage of the usage of experimentation in LIS research is followed. At the last of the paper， Design -based Research and Mixed Methods Research are introduced as methods may inspire the better use of experiment method in LIS research in the future.

    In the construction of the sharing platform for the development of Gansu Science and Technology literature， successful experiences in building technical literature resources sharing at home and abroad are learned in order to find a model for the underdeveloped area. Through the analysis of the barrier to the building of the sharing of the Science and Technology literature under the present system and the research on the sharing patterns， this paper proposes the Gansu model that "different owners of resources construct their own system and use the same interface to serve all the readers".

    The characteristics of reasonable collection structure in academic libraries have distinctive structure corresponding with the subject structure of the university, and hierarchical structure corresponding with the user hierarchy of needs. The Article selects three university libraries of different levels and types to compare their collection structure. Good and bad collection structures in three academic libraries are analyzed to provides some references for its construction.

    The paper studies the books about higher education published in 2004 -2007. Using the citation analysis method, this paper gets the high cited books, then classify these high cited books according to the methods used by experts of the higher education field, finally, compares the result of classification with the collections of three university libraries in order to evaluate the quality of university libraries' collection of higher education disciplines.

    Based on a summary of the study on ancient book titles， the paper indicates deficiency in five aspects， such as neglecting the source and development of book titles， confined in material selecting， lacking theoretical support and imbalance on selecting research object. On account of these problems， the paper points out the resolution methods and the general rules for these research， that is the source and form of book titles should be combined with excavated documents; material selecting should be based on ancient bibliography， the study should use related theory for reference, and to pay attention to the high-frequency words.

Female body is one of the best windows to reflect the change of aesthetic taste of the society. In this paper the artistic images by Zhou Fang are chosen to learn the influences of the culture and aesthetics of Tang Dynasty on artistic construction.
