    In order to improve the user experience and service in adaptation to the characteristics of the socialization of network environment and the user's change, WorldCat explores and innovates in the field of information organization. This paper summarizes WorldCat's five innovative strategies in information organization: exploring Web scale discovery and delivery of library resources, integrating information organization objects from different commercial and free databases, innovating information description technologies, promoting extensive application of information organization results, and using a variety of ways to encourage users to participate in information organization. These strategies help library and information institution broaden the professional horizons, participate in the WorldCat's activities and promote further development of it.
  • Survey and Analysis of WorldCat's Popular Tag

    World Cat's popular tag needs to be more scientific, normative in information organization and practical in guiding user information discovery. This paper makes a statistical analysis of the contents of WorldCat's popular tag according to their subject and quality. And a comparison is conducted between WorldCat and other social network sites including BibSonomy, Flickr, and Douban regarding their popular tag on quality control, sort mode, browse mode and content display. Then several suggestions are proposed for WorldCat's popular tag including understanding user tagging behavior, strengthening quality control, and extending function.
  • Survey and Analysis of User Review in WorldCat

    Worl dCat has been providing user review function which allows users to post their reviews on WorldCat/s resources since 2008. This article investigates the user review as one of the user-participatory functions in WorldCat. First, it summarizes its advantages including open and eye -catching, from wide sources, complementary to bibliographic information and under quality control. It then analyses its deficiencies in usability, quantity, quality and interactivity. Finally, it provides suggestions for the improvement of user review based on the study and reference of relevant websites and cases both at home and abroad.
  • The Optimization Scheme of WorldCat Tagging System

    WorldCat tagging system, which is the represent of folksonomy on bibliographic information management, fits the development tendency of information organization in social network. But due to the disadvantage of its tags, management mechanism, retrieval mechanism and so on, it has some bad impact on the precision of information organization and user experience. Based on these analysis, the paper constructs an overall optimization scheme. The scheme includes clarifying the hierarchy of tags, adding the user edit function and completing the aggregation function of user community, etc.

    Digital library is not only the way people access to information but also an important source of knowledge. Along with the practice of digital library deeply, every country realize the digital library plays an important role in the national informatization strategy and public cultural undertakings. The analyses of the position and running mode of digital libraries are not only of benefit to Chinese digital library construction and research but also of benefit to Chinese the digital library cause. According to the communication system model of C.E.Shannon, based on public cultural undertakings and ubiquitous knowledge environment, this paper comes up with a digital library running mode, finally the model is demonstrated by the national digital library project and the American memory.     This article explores the concept of cross-media reading and analyzes forms and added value of four levels of cross-media reading. And then this article demonstrates internal demand and external support for cross-media reading based on the related reading statistics, youngster's media consuming habits and publishing industry's probe for cross -media publishing. According to above analysis, this article explores how to realize cross -media reading in library through some occurred and given cases.

Combined with LSU model, this paper discusses library service marketing strategies aiming to Y generation users from five aspects: marketing culture constructing, paying more attentions to internal marketing, comprehensive marketing from physical world and network world, adopting user favorite marketing way, inviting user participating.

  • A Survey of Lectures in Chinese Provincial and Sub-provincial Public Libraries

As one of the most important tools, social tagging improves the efficiency and cover the shortage of knowledge management. This article discusses the application of social tagging in the open knowledge management, and analyses how to carry social tagging into open knowledge management's practice.

    Based on the perspective of innovation team in research university, and according to related literature research, this article presented research hypothesis that knowledge -sharing agents, internal team environment, knowledge sharing platform, incentive mechanism and knowledge property have significant influence on knowledge sharing effects in the knowledge sharing of innovation team, and established second order factor model. This article made an empirical analysis by the Structural Equation Model. The research results verified the hypothesis, and found that knowledge -sharing agents, internal team environment have greater influence on knowledge sharing effects than others.
  • Knowledge Sharing Behavior Based on the Modified Theory of Planned Behavior——An Empirical Study of Communications Industry of Jiangsu Province

    This paper employs the modified theory of planned behavior as theoretical framework, through a field survey of communications industry of Jiangsu province;try to uncover the mechanism of knowledge workers' knowledge sharing behavior. The conclusions show that (l) knowledge sharing intention and external control has a positive effect on knowledge sharing behavior; (2) external control plays a moderating role between knowledge sharing intention and knowledge sharing behavior;(3) attitude to knowledge sharing, subjective norm and internal control all has positive effect on knowledge sharing intention. This paper not only modifies the theory of planned behavior, but also provides new evidence for the theory of planned behavior application in knowledge sharing research.

    Surrounding development and the revolutionary change in and social needs cause a great alteration in social function, developing mode, responsibility and resource allocation of knowledge service organization just like libraries. In this situation, libraries have to rebuild their service content and service patter through the reconstruction of function, mode and procedure. Then set up a new kind of interactive collaborative learning and research service system and make it perfect by collection of various resource and service, supporting research on new science research in e-Science and the needs of the new learning in e-Learning. Last a ubiquitous system is forged, which owns all- around knowledge service ability. In order to implement the system, innovations and breakout are necessarily required in lots of regions that include ideas, mode and procedure of development, business structure, resources allocation, evaluation and organizational culture.

    Information interactive service is a two-way-service system, and information interaction through the service from beginning to end. It reflects service concept of the "reader participation, interaction and sharing", creates a new communication ways between library and readers. The main mode of information interactive service isinteractive communication, personalized information services, thematic database navigation and resource integration. This paper comes up with a model of the service, the model involve many basic elements, including readers, librarians, information resources, technology, services, processes, platforms, etc.

    Based on Prefuse,the collaboration networks of information retrieval are visualized and analyzed by co -author analysis and social network analysis. There are inconsistencies between high production, highly cited authorand high collaborative groups.In the co-author network, Zhang L, Sprink A and Schacter DL formed a large -scale research group. Tulving E and Cabeza R formed the strongest co-author group.

    Taking CAS OpenIR institutional repository of the Chinese Academy of Sciences as an example, the authors tries to improve, mainly based on the ASEO strategy and method, the IR's index ratio in Google Scholar and further strengthen the influence of the quotes and use of the content of the institutional repository. This paper mainly analyzed Google Scholar Principles of Collecting, Google Scholar Metadata system, Sitemaps, Robots etc. The ASEO research and practice process also play a positive reference role for other digital library system.

    Firstly, according to the "2011 The Olobal Oo-To Think Tanks", we determine eight representative international scientific think tanks as the study sample, they are World Resources Institute, Stanford  Research  Institute,  American Enterprise Institute for Public Policy Research, The Oeorgia Tech Research Institute/s Office of Policy  Analysis  and Research, Center for Development Research, Joint Research Center, National Institute of Science and Technology Policy, Science and Technology Policy Institute. At the same time, we identified six types of science and technology think tanks. Secondly, we found that there are different advantages and characteristics of their respective products though analysis. At last, compared to the present development situation of the information products of our country, we  give  out  some suggestions to strengthen the construction of our intelligence products to enhance the impact of the information products of our country. They are expanding the international perspective, establishing quantitative  tools  to  analyze  the  core competitiveness, establishing close co-operation network of experts, closing the front line of research, focusing on the basis of intelligence products and establishing and strengthen cooperation with enterprises.

However, with the social development and process of technology, the demanding for information services become higher and higher. It has been very difficult for the traditional service mode of university libraries to adopt to the changing environment. To solve this problem, this paper introduce knowledge chain to build a framework of the construction of information resources for disciplines of university libraries, which can improve the quality of the constructionof disciplines.

    Reliable sources of datacombined with the methods of scientific researchwill draw meaningful conclusions. This paper studies applicationcharacteristics of questionnaire based on 17 LIS journals data from CNKI (2007 -2011) by the composition and comparative analysis with fuzzy clustering analysis method. The results show that the contribution made by the survey methodology to LIS journals is huge. More than 50% of paper, which supported by fund,employ the survey methodology. The survey method been used in "intelligence" journals more than in "library" journals. Through a comprehensive survey and study of a large number of original documents, this paper found that there are many problems in the using of questionnaire survey. To solve these problems, this paper proposesseveral suggestions such as designingrational survey program.

    After microbl ogging had become a popular new social media, a growing number of companies began to use microblog as a marketing tool, and microblog marketing method has grown most rapidly in the past few years. The process of microblogging is a process during which consumers or opinion leaders are made to share the evaluation or discussion of brands, products or services through microblogging channels and thus establish internet word of mouth. Therefore, internet word of mouth marketing is the core of the microblog marketing. By strengthening the internet word of mouth marketing, corporations can greatly improve the results of microblogging marketing. In order to discuss strategies that corporations should take facing the wave of microblogging, this paper integrated communication theories, previous researches and data analysis and established a 5T model, i.e. Talkers, Topics, Tools, Taking Part as well as Tracking. Based on microblog marketing and L'Oreal as example, the author analyzed appropriate marketing strategies to improve marketing effects by model analysis.

    The Entertainment activity recorded in Dunhuang  Shuyi displays the unique characteristics in terms of the etiquette standards accepted by the middle -ancient clans, which can be mainly summarized on three aspects, that is, the serious specification on entertainment activity; the prevailing entertainment activity on festivals and the social communicative function for clans relied on sports activity. The paper provides an interpretation of the three characteristics so as to assist discussions on entertainment's class-attribute of ancient China and enrich people's knowledge on the social and cultural life of middle-ancient clans.

     

  • Interpretation of the Emperor Notation of Collected Reviews of Etiquette Way

    A set of Collected Reviews of Etiquette Way is kept in the library of Hainan University of which the cover and back cover, the header and footer retain a large number of handwritten notation, identification,poetry collection, etc. by six people in cinnabar pen, red pen, black pen. Emperor notation is also on it including two markings of artist seal. The authors believe, after interpretation research, that this set of Collected Reviews of Etiquette Way was written by Chen Hao in 1322 and was bestowed to Qiu Jun by the Emperor of Xuande, and was brought to Hainan by Qiu's son after his death. The authors also prove that some famous couplets were written by the Emperor Xuande.
