    Knowledge classification is the important basis of cloud service of information resourcesand ways of classification are varied. This paper examines the existing typical methods of knowledge classification, analyzes and concludes each characteristic. According to the feature of cloud service of information resources and from the dimension of user needs and the stability of the use frequency, this paper designs a knowledge classification which is suitable to cloud environment of information resources.

    Virtualization is the technical means to achieve the information resources cloud. It can improve the availability and efficiency of the cloud computing system resources and applications, simplify the infrastructure, optimize resources and reduce risk significantly. This paper focuses on information resources and users' need in the cloud environment, using of virtualization technology to build a virtual model of information resources cloud. This paper elaborates on the manners of networks, servers, storage, and data information cloud resources virtualization.

    The effecti ve development of the cloud services in the library can't be separated from all parties cooperate orderly which involved. It is particularly important to research the relationship and behavior interaction among the parties involved in the cloud service in the library. By combining the characteristics of cloud services in the library, we studied the related participants in the cloud services, and analyzed of their characteristics and their relationship. Then we put forward the relational model among participants of cloud services in the library.

    The authors investigated the periodicals published by the American Library Association (ALA) and its 100 odd organizations and agencies, and found that there were altogether 144 kinds, including 70 in the ALA's list of the periodicals published by the ALA's division and division sections, offices, and round tables, and 74 by the ALA's state and regional chapters, and some other organizations, which are missed from the ALA's list, but added by the authors. On the basis of the newly compiled list, the authors sum up the main characteristics and make a brief analysis of the periodicals.

    Digital reading is growing in popularity in network environment. Facing the dramatic changes of reading medium,reading patterns and methods, the libraries have to adjust the content and form of the traditional guide reading,and look for innovation and development of the theory of library review. The theory of intertextuality was put forward by Julia Kristeva firstly, and its use in digital reading and guiding may be good for the study of the theory itself,and may also provide theoretical guidance for the library review practice.

    Based on the tracing of the five main theoretical research areas in library science, such as library freedom& library rights, information equity & library system, library legislation & environment construction,library humanism& library spirit, and central & branch library system, this paper describes the reconstruction process of foundational principles and doctrines in China's modern librarianship. It also directs out that China's library academics began to focus on public librarianship study and international library's universal core values study at 2000. With the joint efforts, China's library academics have accomplished one of the most important missions on reconstruction of library's foundational theory in history.

    The paper analyses the recommended bibliographies involving children's emergent reading issued by the public libraries, the publishing units and several domestic websites on children's reading promotion, in order to offer references to public libraries when they are establishing the related recommended bibliographies for preschool children. The recommended bibliographies for kids and teens of the Madison Public Library of Wisconsin, USA deserves to be stressed and used for reference.

    The author analyzed the copyright policy of seven national library websites in Europe. The copyright policies of these websites include the protected works type, fair use, copyright owner and legal responsibility, link policy, legal basis, notice and takedown policy, rights management information statements and technical measures. By comparison, these policies have advantages and disadvantages.

    There are no clear criteria in copyright law. The law instead requires judgment from each case on   the facts. Under the traditional four factors analysis of   fair use, Google/s Book Search project is unlikely to succeed. Yet because of the public benefit likely to be derived from such a project along with future projects of its   kind, Without direction from the legislature as to the proper application of copyright law to these circumstances, the fate of Google/s Book Search Project rests on how the District Court applies the law and the fair use exemption. The case gives the court an opportunity to expand the reaches of fair use and establish greater protections for digital libraries, thus encouraging their creation.

    Combined with the latest studies in all -media field, this paper described the basic connotation of all - media and convergence service, summarized four applicable methods for library all -media convergence service by analyzing the drives for all -media convergence service development from three dimensions including digitalization, IOT(the internet of things) and cloud computing, and extended the discussion and research by application cases.

  • An Empirical Study on Search Systems of WAP Mobile Libraries in China and the USA

    The author investigated seven search systems of WAP mobile libraries in China and the USA by analyzing the characteristics of the search systems from three aspects, that is search functions, search effects and users burden. The results show that search functions of WAP mobile libraries in China and the USA need to be enhanced, and it can be completed through learning from popular search engines; search effects of WAP mobile libraries in China are different from those in the USA with precision rate as the main factor; search systems of WAP mobile libraries in China and the USA should be more user-friendly; quality of domestic search systems of WAP mobile libraries are different, and the whole level can be improved by adopting varied projects. The author believes that improving search functions, optimizing search effects and increasing users comforts are important for the development of mobile libraries.

  • Construction of Village Library as Branches of a System in Jiaxing

    In the process of urban and rural integration, Jiaxing has achieved preliminary results in the public library service system construction, which serves as a relatively successful example in the eastern well -developed areas and is leading the development of the construction mode of the general -branch libraries. This study finds that there it is of great significance to improve and deepen the building of public library service system, especially to attach more importance to the end of this system, which is the sustainable development of village (community) library. In the paper, two successful cases of village library under two different construction systems as well as a failure case are introduced. The paper also summarizes the polarization, existing problems and corresponding solutions. This study probes into the extended services and construction of village library from the perspective of a unified design of the general-branch public library system between the urban and rural areas.

    RFID is regarded as the third generation automatic management technology in library. A lot of readers in Hangzhou Library use RFID and are quite satisfactory with the equipment. Suspicion of the credibility of the machine affects more use and both the machine and OPAC system need improving.

    Based on the published papers number of 19 library and information science journalsfrom 2003 to 2009 which are contained in "Chinese Core Journals" (2008 edition), by calculating the mathematical expectation and standard deviation, combinedwith the rankingsin "Chinese Core Journals" (2004 -2008 edition),Chinese Social Science Citation Index (CSSCI) source journals (2004 -2005, 2006 -2007, 2008-2009), this paper analyzedthe relationship between published papers number and academic influence of these journals. The conclusion is within the scope of statistics,the academic influencecorrelates with published papers numbernegatively.

    Through empirical research,the citation frequency distribution of science and technology book samples in all national relevant databases or search tools have been studied for the first time through systematically comparative analysis. The article also illustrates the database characteristics and verification skills to relate closely with the search results,and find out the preferred database and additional database for the cited books verification. In addition,the related problems were discussed.

    This paper analyzed the connotation of innovative city and the present situation research on city innovation capacity assessment, constructed the evaluation index system of innovation ability based on innovation resources, innovation carrier, innovation environment and innovation output. Furthermore, gray correlation analysis was applied in this paper for empirical research and got a ranking on sample cities after collecting of the related data of them.

    Baidu-gate event brings about adverse impact on society. It is believed that excessive pursuit of interests, the lack of relevant laws and regulations, and the lack of social responsibility of companies caused non -integrity events. The construction of laws and regulations for internet companies and the increase of social responsibility may be counter-measures.

    The Preparatory Office of National Central Library was established for a new cultural capital of Nanjing government and the need of international exchange of knowledge. It was also the result of the modern idea of a national central library. The Office was born in the difficult time of anti -Japanese war, but the faculty was very active. They tried their best to collect literature and construct literature resources. The Office photocopied the Siku Quan Shu and deal with international exchange of publications business which contributed greatly to communicate Chinese and western cultures.

    Hu Sanxing was a famous patriotic historian, expert in explaining ancient books, and book collector. Because there was no his biography in Song Shi or Yuan Shi, and only a short record in Song Yuan Xue An, people had known little about his academic achievement until Chen Yuanan's book Tong Jian Hu Zhu Biao Wei was published in mid 20th century. This paper is an examination of Hu Sanxing's book.
