  • Current Status and Trends in Digital Journal Reading: Empirical Research on the Data of Longyuan Journal Database Network

    This paper's analysis is derived from the annual ranking and electronic reading records for over 3000 periodicals hosted by longyuan digital media. The analysis shows a great variance between the reading patterns of different groups. Some conclusions are drawn about digital reading patterns and the general direction of content generation in the electronic reading age.

    With the rapid development of mobile Internet and the spread of smart phone and Pad, mobile reading has already played a new trend  of  digital  publishing.  Mobile  reading  can  badly  change  our  way  of  getting  information now as a new technology  and  business  mode.  Magazine  is  a  typical  media  form  for  the  mobile  reading  comparing with other print media, so the study for digital magazine mobile reading is significant for the practice and theoretical study  of  mobile  reading.

  • Differentiation An alysis of the Digital Journal Reading Based on Long Yuan Journal Database Network

    Compared with the reading rate of traditional paper medium, the growth rate of the digital reading grows rapidly. This shows that the digital reading gradually becomes one of the main reading styles. Based on the survey of the longyuan journal database network, the difference type of the readers show different characteristic when they reading the digital journals. This article will analyze the longyuan journal database network 2011 top 100 ranking data, to compare the different between individual users and institutional users, users at home and abroad, as well as between different geographical user reading differences. Parts of the data also reference to the Alexa ranking as well as the figures of library public users in US in order to broaden the view of research and deepen the study of digital reading.

    The development of network medium has promoted the development of online reading, as a new way of reading, the statistical method of digital journal's reading quantity demands forming a standard. This paper taking qikan.com.cn for an example, using the statistical index and method of the digital products both domestic and abroad for reference, and also referring to the existing statistical method of the digital journal's reading quantity, to put forward the conception of digital journal's reading quantity and its calculation method from the angle of efficient page views.

    With the evolution of historical process, there formed in library science three kinds of knowledge systems: "the experience knowledge system", "the theoretical knowledge system" and "the subject value system". "The experience knowledge system" inherits and develops the experience knowledge tradition, whose core is vocational skills, emphasizing the practicality and application of academic knowledge, and its research paradigm has distinct pragmatic methodology features. "The theoretical knowledge system", with an as -I -know thinking, has systematic discussions over issues such as epistemology, ontology, methodology, and library and society, history and culture, and its research paradigm presents the characteristics of openness and growth. Based on the as-they-can thinking, "the subject value system" focuses on discussions concerning library, the value of library science, core value and ultimate value. The paper emphasizes ultimate value of " turning knowledge into wisdom", and it has positive effects on the construction of "the core of theory domain" and helps promoting the second transformation in the disciplinary research paradigm.

Types of setting bodies can be divided into independent and union one. Construction body is the government which is responsible for the provision of public library services and funds. Types of construction bodies can be divided into independent and union one. Types of union construction bodies can be divided into main, supportive and participate one. Reasonable setting of public library council improves corporate governance of public library. There are six types of public library service system, such as: pure central - branch library, close central-branch library, semi-close central-branch library, loose central-branch library, close alliance, loose alliance.

    Public library has a long tradition to serve local people for their livelihood. But in practice, the service consciousness, the resources allocation, the service mode, the depth and other aspects of the livelihood service are still needed to further developed. The triple play environment, provide with public libraries opportunities to innovate their civil service. Basing on triple play policy and international experience, the paper has presented the recommendations to enhance public library services. Public libraries should integrate into the community, participate in government project of the people's livelihood, improve the foundation and digitized information service capability, and establish a brand for the people's livelihood service.

    Government information digitalized service is an important part of public library service. The convergence of three -network environment holds great opportunity for public libraries. Based on the practice of libraries home and abroad and the need of users, the paper investigates the issue and puts forward some suggestion, such as pushing the Government Information Publicity project forward to promote the initiative of government information digitalized service; innovating the mode of government information digitalized service to enhance the pertinence; mining the integrated information to improve the depth of government information digitalized service; highlighting the features of government information digitalized service according to the actual status; setting up special post to strengthen the guidance to the use of government digitalized information, and so on.

But for a long period, this information is outside the scope of information organization in library.     Languages can be divided into the developed and the underdeveloped. The author puts forth three criteria: writing form, amounts of vocabulary, and the number of books. The most important internal cause that makes languages endangered is that they cannot meet the needs of the society. An endangered language can be regenerated only through creating a writing form , introducing enough words into it, and translating large number of books into it so that it is able to meet the social demand for cutting -edge scientific research and large -scale modern production activities, and the needs of people to pursuit a better material and spiritual enjoyment.

    This paper introduces Dr. Garfield's twice trip to Taiwan in 1990 and 1993 and his reports. His visiting plays big role on the popularization and promotion of SCI in Taiwan. According to ESI, Taiwan area's SCI papers and cited times increased year by year since 1986. The science and technology policy of Taiwan area is closely related to these achievements. But in recent years, Taiwan academia begins to question SCI, SSCI quantitative indicators. These evaluation indicators of university research quality and the evaluation criteria of teachers' academic output capacity have influenced higher education of Taiwan.

    For a long time,the academia carries divergent views about which is the priority one between the bamboo slips' origin and bones'. This paper argues that bamboo slips originated in the era of Yu, Shun and Yao, gained wide availability in Shang and Zhou Dynasty, and achieved its wide popularity in the Eastern Han Dynasty. Bamboo slips and bones are parallel in the world literature form. Before the widespread use of paper, bamboo is not only used for the longest time, but also the most widely used as writing material.

    In ancient China, books were usually carved first on the wood ,and then the carved wood can be handed down, and printed many times, so there remained different printings during the process, and the content in the wood may be changed by adding or removing some words. Finally, we find a kind of ancient book have different editions. This article gives a book for example to elucidate the phenomenon of "Five printings in the same carved wood", and analyze different version features to arouse the attention of academics.
