In the era of the digital economy, data, serving as the lifeblood of digital economic operations and a core asset for enterprises, has become a key factor of production driving the innovative development of the digital economy. In response to the risks, hidden dangers, and security pain points in the market-oriented allocation of data—such as ambiguous data ownership, improper acquisition of data resources, privacy leakage and data poisoning—this paper is oriented towards solve the dilemma in the circulation and utilization of data assets. Based on the concept of Trusted Data Space, it elucidates the fundamental principles of data asset governance from perspectives including breaking down circulation barriers, reducing governance costs, ensuring circulation security, and activating circulation value. Furthermore, based on research conducted in a village in Gansu Province, and using agricultural data asset governance as a typical case of domain-specific data asset governance, this paper explains the practical pathway for implementing domain-specific data asset governance within Trusted Data Spaces.
