Abstract

The rise of evidence-based decision-making in recent years, stemming from the UK government’s practices in the mid-1990s. Notably, evidence-based decision-making has become a global aspiration for governance and policy formulation. It has institutionalized as a governance innovation, emphasizing the evidence transformation system throughout the decision-making process. As international strategic planning becomes more scientifically and effectively driven by evidence-based approaches, systems for evidence acquisition, assessment, and diverse evidence products are rapidly evolving. Accordingly, government decision-makers’ capacity for evidence-based decision-making will be improved.
