Blockchain, as the underlying technology of Bitcoin, is considered to be the core technology of the next generation, along with artificial intelligence and big data. This paper introduces the concept and characteristics of blockchain technology, analyzes its five application scenarios of information sharing, copyright protection, identity authentication and network crowdfunding in library, and probes into its future application prospect in library.
