The traditional mode of library voluntary service has some problems, such as involution and lack of scientific evaluation. Driven by the readers' needs, the development of technology, the change of the service supply, library voluntary service is developing toward  smart mode. It is necessary to  construct library smart voluntary service platform,  the wisdom management system of library voluntary service,  effective incentive system for library voluntary service, and scientific performance evaluation and resource allocation system of library voluntary service.
