The rise of scientific big data has expanded the research horizon of the humanities and social sciences. By bringing into the social computing paradigm, the application and development area of the humanities and social science research could be extensively expanded in supporting the major issues of economic and social development. By introducing the intersection of scientific big data and social computing, this paper probes into the problem of the data ecosphere of intelligence service. Then, the paper discusses the change and innovation of intelligence service in the new environment from three aspects: service mode changing, application space expansion and “revenue-driving” capability improvement. The paper holds that the research object of library and information science can expand from scientific big data to social big data, and the related research should try to provide new type of intelligence service based on the idea of “mass innovation and big data project”.
