国立西北图书馆与刘国钧图书馆学思想均是中国图书馆发展史上的丰碑。在“纪念国立西北图书馆成立80周年暨刘国钧先生诞辰125周年”学术研讨会上，与会专家和学者围绕国立西北图书馆的创建与办馆实践、刘国钧图书馆学思想的内涵与挖掘、国立西北图书馆及馆员精神的当代传承展开了深入研讨。国立西北图书馆创建与办馆实践中所形成的馆员制度、业务制度、馆藏体系，刘国钧图书馆学思想中重视社会教育、参考咨询服务、地方文献、馆员素养，以及国立西北图书馆馆员群体所展现的艰苦奋斗与护文救国的爱国精神、求真务实与科学严谨的专业精神、普教启智与资政兴文的服务精神，都值得当代图书馆传承发展。

Both the National Northwest Library and Mr. Liu Kwoh-Chuin's thoughts on library science are monumental achievements in the development history of Chinese libraries. At the academic seminar commemorating the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the National Northwest Library and the 125th anniversary of the birth of Mr. Liu Kwoh-Chuin, participating experts and scholars conducted in-depth discussions on the establishment and operation practice of the National Northwest Library, the connotation and exploration of Liu Kwoh-Chuin's thoughts on library science, as well as the contemporary inheritance of the spirit of the National Northwest Library and its librarians. The librarian system, business system, and collection system formed during the establishment and operation practice of the National Northwest Library, Liu Kwoh-Chuin's emphasis on social education, reference and consultation services, local documents, and the professional qualities of librarians in his thoughts on library science, as well as the patriotic spirit of arduous struggle and protecting culture to save the nation, the professional spirit of seeking truth and being pragmatic, scientific and rigorous, and the service spirit of popularizing education, enlightening wisdom, providing advice to the government, and promoting culture demonstrated by the group of librarians of the National Northwest Library, all deserve to be inherited and developed by contemporary libraries.
