：2006年起每两年召开一届的北美研究型图书馆协会（ARL）图书馆评估大会，是北美地区图书馆评估的重要国际会议，历届会议的论文集形成了北美高校图书馆评估实践与研究的基础。文章对ARL2018年评估大会论文集进行了解读，分析了美国高校图书馆评估的特点，认为我国高校图书馆应借鉴美国高校图书馆评估理论与实践发展的经验，从将评估纳入图书馆日常管理、加强评估理论与管理实践的结合、发挥行业协会和组织的作用三个方面推动我国高校图书馆评估活动的开展。

Library Assessment Conference of American Research Library Association (ARL), held every two years since 2006, is an important international conference on library evaluation in North America. This paper interprets the “Proceedings of the 2018 library assessment conference”, and analyzes the evaluation characteristics of American university library. At last it thinks that the university library in China should learn from the experience of the American university library evaluation theory and practice development, from the combination of incorporating evaluation into the daily management of library, strengthening evaluation theory and management practice. To play the role of trade associations and organizations in three aspects to promote the evaluation activities of university libraries in China.
