:《芥子园画传》是清朝康熙年间的一部著名画谱，由清代王槩等辑摹，问世后出现了很多翻刻本，东西方学者也对《芥子园画传》展开了研究与传播。《芥子园画传》康熙木刻版本和巢勋石印临本是对西方传播有普及性影响的两部译著。对两种版本比较则可以发现，巢勋的重绘、增补加强了画传的实用性，石印技术降低成本、增加印数，使画传得以大量流传；康熙版《芥子园画传》有开创之功，而巢勋石印临本乃青出于蓝，实为康熙版本基础上的一种进步。

Jiezi Yuan Painting was compiled and  copied by Wang Ji et al circulated in Emperor Kangxi 's reign. After its appearance, scholars in the East And West studied and disseminated the painting and many different versions came into being,of which the woodcut version in Emperor Kangxi's reign and Chao Xun's lithography copy version were popular in the west. It is found by compare the two versions that the woodcut version was the pioneer and Chao Xun's version was better in painting and was spread more widely.
