“Multiculturalism”is one of the core values of the American Library Association. For implementing the core value of multiculturalism, the American Library Association develops series of appropriated organization strategies and action strategies. From the organization level, the American Library Association sets up the committee, the office, the round tables and sub-branches for involvement of the various members into the multicultural activities, decision making, and exchange. The American Library Association holds lots of scholar, grants, multicultural activities, and award for pushing and promoting the multicultural value in the society. The experience from the American Library Association in multicultural field will make reference to the multicultural service of Chinese libraries and library associations and societies.
